It may seem hard to believe, but spring is right around the corner. As we leave winter behind and inch closer to the first official day of spring on March 20, many of us will be looking forward to warmer, sunnier days.

March also marks the two-year anniversary of the COVID-19 pandemic arriving in Nova Scotia. Much has changed since 2020, and Nova Scotians have faced many challenges over the past 24 months. Through those challenging times, I have found hope and inspiration in the strength, resilience and resourcefulness that the people and communities throughout the Province have shown.

At CUA, we are committed to helping our members get to where they want to be in their financial journey. From working directly with our small business members to helping individual members plan for their financial futures, we work determinedly to ensure that our members are supported and equipped with the knowledge and tools to achieve their financial goals. As we look forward to sunny days, the CUA team will continue to offer support, provide clarity on financial questions and open the door to a brighter financial future for our members.

In line with this mission, CUA is excited to show its continued commitment to the community this month as we announce the recipients of this year’s Community Investment Grant Program. We received an incredible 529 submissions from throughout the Province this year. We are thrilled to announce that 27 small businesses and organizations will receive funding. The recipients of the 2022 Grant Program will be announced on March 14.

With the upcoming easing of restrictions as recently announced by the Provincial Government, we optimistically look towards spending time with friends and family. As we move forward, we will continue to provide a safe space for our members, team and community. We are always ready to help with personalized service so you can achieve your financial dreams.
