Introducing the Home Value Program

TEAL Architects and CUA have partnered to offer the new Home Value Program. The program assists homeowners in Halifax to increase the value of their home and begin earning money on their property, whether they are thinking of staying or selling.

We are proud to offer this unique program, which we developed in an effort to make home ownership within the urban centre of Halifax more affordable; to assist home owners in realizing the hidden value in their properties; and, to prevent urban sprawl and help HRM reach its density goals.

Eligible homes* are able to accommodate two residential units, such as an income suite, which could be rented out to paying tenants. We can help you take the next steps to redesign your home into an income property in two ways:

  1. Design: TEAL Architects has the expertise to reveal the best options for your home – to design spaces for optimal function, lighting, size, and energy efficiency. They can also find ways to reduce the operating cost of your home through careful design and industry know-how.
  2. Financing: CUA offers programs such as Home Improvement Financing, Income Property Financing, and Green Home Financing which can assist you in financing the renovations to your home.
