CUA is proud to offer an exclusive Family Banking Program for Canadian Armed Forces personnel stationed in Nova Scotia. With branch locations in Halifax, Dartmouth, Cole Harbour, Tantallon and Spryfield, you’ll have access to a great banking experience including our flexible products, personalized service and preferred rates available only to military members.
Exclusive Banking Benefits
Our Military Family Banking Program takes your unique needs into account with the following benefits:
- Day to Day Banking – Waived monthly fees on a myChequing Unlimited. An additional chequing account is available at a 50% discount.
- Youth Account – CUA will match the first deposit of $50 to any account opened for your child or youth.
- Personal Line of Credit – If you apply for and are approved for a personal line of credit, receive a preferred interest rate of Prime + 1.0%.
- Mortgage Prepayment Penalty Waiver – CUA will provide a waiver on prepayment penalties, either three months interest or the interest rate differential, if you have been transferred outside of Nova Scotia and are required to sell your home.
