COVID-19 Prevention Plan


As part of our Plan to help prevent the spread of COVID-19, we have implemented guidelines for customers and staff to follow when banking with us. We encourage you to review the guidelines below when considering visiting our locations. Download these guidelines.

Complete a Self-Assessment
Self-assessment questions and safety guidelines are posted in the entrance of every CUA location for both customers and staff. To determine if you may enter a location, complete the self-assessment and review the guidelines.



Wear Your Mask
As of July 31, 2020, masks are a must. As required by the Provincial Government for most public indoor places, please wear your mask when visiting any CUA location. Read more »



Sanitize Your Hands
Hand sanitizer is available in all CUA locations for customer use. Sanitize your hands when entering a location.



Maintain Physical Distance
When entering a CUA location, maintain six feet of distance between yourself and others. In branch locations, plexiglass shields are present in certain areas to provide a barrier between customers and staff without compromising the physical distancing requirement. 



Use Alternative Ways to Bank
Use online, mobile and telephone banking services to reduce the need to visit branch locations whenever possible.



Book Virtual Appointments
Where possible, book telephone or online appointments with us to access financial advice and services while limiting physical contact.

We have also taken additional steps with our staff and those we work closely with to ensure everyone stays safe.


Cleaning Procedures
CUA locations have implemented new cleaning protocols to focus on high-touch services, including the daily sanitization of equipment and work surfaces used by staff.  



Limiting Employee Travel
Non-essential business travel is paused, with all employees working in or visiting a single location, or working remotely where possible.



Employee Common Areas
Employee kitchen use at all locations has been limited to one person at a time, with larger meeting rooms temporarily closed.



Gatherings and Events
Employee gatherings and in-person events have been paused or transitioned to digital options, where possible.
